Advocacy Testimonials
To say I was desperate when Tomika reached out to me in response to a notice on a community noticeboard is an understatement. I’d had assistance from five government departments and numerous government funded services that had not been able or willing to further assist me with my social justice grievance (Disability Advocacy was the exception that steadfastly supported me).
I’d turned to ‘so called’ private law firms that advertised service but would not deliver (I did get a better understanding of the term ‘ambulance chaser’ being triaged time and time again for nix).
From Hillebrand Shaw & Co first making contact with me my morale was rebuilt. Tomika listened to my story, showed understanding when relaying to me what could be done and displayed courtesy by suggesting that we meet with my Disability Advocacy worker before proceeding. I was kept up to date with the progress of the work Tomika was doing and where clarification was needed, asked for it in a sensitive way.
The finished work is exceptional and although it will be quite some time before the matter is finalised, I’m feeling totally confident that justice will prevail due to Tomika’s exceptional support and advocacy.
